Automotive Recycling Industry of Nebraska

THE JOHN RUGGERIO
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

PREFACE

Over the past sixteen years, the Automotive Recycling Industry of Nebraska has launched a project for the benefit of the members of the Association. A Scholarship Fund has been established in the name of John Ruggerio of Omaha, Nebraska. John was a long-time supporter of the automotive recycling industry, having served as the Executive Director of the Association, working with the Industry on the Phone Line, serving on many committees of the national and state association, and continuing to serve the industry in his retirement years.

Therefore, the Board of Directors of the Automotive Recycling Industry of Nebraska, on June 23, 1994, established a Scholarship Fund in his honor. A motion on that date, made by Arlene Kramer, Kramer's Auto Parts of Grand Island, seconded by Tom Graves, Owl Auto Parts, Inc., of Grand Island, stated as follows: "The Automotive Recycling Industry of Nebraska establish an annual scholarship fund in the name of John Ruggerio, for his years of service to the Association. The Scholarship shall be administered by a separate Committee, and a separate account be established in the bank for this purpose. A special engraved plaque be made, which would allow for winner's names to be placed on the plaque each year. The plaque will be displayed in the business who won the award for the year. The scholarship will be designated to go to member yards in Nebraska, their families or employees of the yards. Individuals may make contributions, leave bequests in their wills or other ways to garner money for the fund." The motion passed unanimously.

A Committee consisting of the Automotive Recycling Industry of Nebraska Board of Directors was formed to administer the Scholarship Fund.
